2019 RESOLUTIONS

12:26 PM

I can feel it.
2019, you're going to be pure magic. 💫✨

I'm so keen for 2019. My ultimate goal is to embrace this new season of my life. I want to live each day grateful that I get to do what I love to do, and with the mindset that every single day will teach me something that I need to keep growing and evolving as a person.

2019 is the start of my twenties. Your twenties are supposed to be your "selfish" years - the years where you immerse yourself in every single thing possible. I want to spend less time on frivolous things like checking Instagram stories, and explore my world a little more. I want to fall recklessly in love one more time. I want to conquer each and every one of my ridiculous fears, and start living by the 5 by 5 rule a lot more - if it's not going to matter in 5 years, don't spend more than 5 minutes being upset about it.

So beautiful reader, come along for this season of growth & grace. We're both strong, courageous, & confident, but lighthearted, humble, and so, so beautiful. We're both learning - whether it's learning contentment in sitting alone in a coffee shop, or surrounded by people in a club. We're learning to embrace every experience as it comes, without trying to control its outcome for our benefit.

Here's to a different beginning, a new year - I want to spend it doing what I love, and loving what I do.

In 2019, I want to travel. I'm not sure what this looks like yet, but I definitely want to take at least 2 solo adventures, a camping trip and a road trip with my favourite people.

In 2019, I want to continue to seize slow. I want to be more conscious of how I'm spending my time & money, and only investing both into what really matters to me - people and experiences.

In 2019, I want to create more. I want to spend more time exploring what content creation for brands  & micro-influencer marketing looks like in a South African context, & whether or not it's viable for me to live off of.

In 2019, I want to learn more. I would love to learn another language, improve my public speaking skills and learn a new programming language for myself.

In 2019, I want to take care of myself. I've been neglecting self care lately, but would love to focus more on building my confidence & taking care of my body by listening to what it needs, not what I think it needs.

In 2019, I want to make a difference. 2018 has given me a taste of what it looks like to intentionally add value to a community, and I believe that in 2019, I can learn more about doing things to help others with intention and an open heart.

What are your goals for the year ahead? I'd love to know - leave a comment below ❤️
